Dedicated Hosting: Web hosting solution that is provided on a web server that is used by a single customer for their hosting needs.
DNS: See Domain Name System.
Domain Name: A domain name is a web address that allows you to access sites on the internet. The domain name is mapped to an IP Address, making for easier access of websites. Domain names can be registered by individuals and companies for public or private use. Domain Names must be registered using an ICANN accredited registrar. To register a domain, click here.
Domain Name System: The domain name system, or DNS, allows computers connected to the Internet to be addressed using a domain name instead of an IP Address. Every computer on the Internet must have at least one IP Address, which consists of a string of numbers, much like a phone number. The IP Address can be difficult to remember, so DNS provides a friendly name that refers to the IP Address. Think of DNS like name dialing on your phone.
